Ethylene Glycol - Antifreeze Fluid G11 Geotherm-K
Concentrated coolant G11 Geotherm-K for ventilation/heating systems – a fluid (concentrate) based on ethylene glycol, using inhibitors from BASF (Germany)*. The coolant does not contain nitrates, phosphates, or amines, which can cause sediment formation resembling sludge, impairing the operation of heating and cooling equipment. Only distilled or demineralised water should be used for dilution. Dilution ratios are specified in the table below.
Inhibitor – a substance that slows or stops a chemical reaction.
When diluted at a 1:1 ratio, the freezing point is -37.5°C.
For heating systems, a 1:2 dilution ratio is recommended (1 litre of concentrate to 2 litres of water). This ratio is optimal because circulation pumps can move the fluid more easily through the system without leakage, thus protecting the pumps from damage. For dilution, well or borehole water is recommended; water from municipal supplies should not be used as it contains chemicals that may cause scaling. At a 1:2 ratio, the freezing point is approximately -16.1°C to -18°C, with a 30% concentration. It is advisable to mix the fluids thoroughly in a separate container before adding them to the system. Do not mix the fluids by pouring them directly into the system.
G11 Coolant (antifreeze) is used in:
Heating systems
Air conditioning systems
Refrigeration equipment
