WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) designed for wastewater drainage inside buildings. Pipes and fittings can be grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). Pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water, but water at 95°C should not flow for more than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structured wall pipe has three layers: an outer and inner layer made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and a foamed layer in between. The pipe meets the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise tests have shown that the new generation thick-walled structured wall WAVIN pipe occupies an intermediate position between previously used solid single-layer (monolithic) walls and special low-noise pipes, and therefore in terms of sound attenuation properties it can be classified as semi-low-noise pipes.
