WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) designed for wastewater drainage inside buildings. Pipes and fittings are available in grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). The pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not form deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water, but water at 95°C should not flow through for longer than 1–2 minutes.

The new generation structural wall pipe consists of three layers: outer and inner layers made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and a foamed layer between them. The pipe complies with the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Department of Standardization under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise reduction tests showed that the new generation thick-walled structural wall WAVIN pipe occupies an intermediate position between previously used solid single-layer (monolithic) walls and special low-noise pipes, so it can be classified as a semi-sound-insulating pipe in terms of sound attenuation properties.
