WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) designed for wastewater discharge inside buildings. Pipes and fittings are available in grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003) colors. The pipes are corrosion resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water; however, water at 95°C should not flow longer than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structural wall pipe consists of three layers: an outer and inner layer made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and a foamed layer between them. The pipe complies with the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise reduction tests showed that the new generation thick-walled structural wall WAVIN pipe positions itself between the previous solid single-layer (monolithic) wall pipes and special low-noise pipes, so it can be classified as a semi-low-noise pipe.
