WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) intended for wastewater discharge inside buildings. Pipes and fittings are available in grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003) colors. Pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water, but water at 95°C should not flow for longer than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structural wall pipe consists of three layers: an outer and inner layer made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and a foamed layer in between. The pipe complies with the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise reduction tests showed that the new generation thick-walled structural WAVIN pipe occupies an intermediate position between previously existing solid single-layer (monolithic) pipes and special low-noise pipes, and thus it can be classified as a semi-low noise pipe.
