Manufacturer: WAVIN (Germany)

WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) designed for internal building drainage. Pipes and fittings are available in grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). The pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and resistant to deposits. The system also resists hot water; however, water at 95°C should not flow through for longer than 1–2 minutes.

The new generation structured wall pipe has three layers: an outer and inner layer made of PVC, and a foamed layer between them. The pipe meets the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department under the Ministry of Environment. Noise tests have shown that the new generation thick-walled structured WAVIN pipe occupies an intermediate position between previous solid single-layer (monolithic) pipes and special low-noise pipes. Thus, it can be classified as a semi-low-noise pipe based on sound attenuation properties.
