WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) intended for wastewater discharge inside buildings. Pipes and fittings may be grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). The pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water, but water at 95° C should not flow through it for more than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structural wall pipe consists of three layers: an outer and inner layer made of PVC, and a foamed layer in between. The pipe complies with the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standardization Department under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise tests show that the new generation thick-walled structural wall WAVIN pipe occupies an intermediate position between previously used solid single-layer (monolithic) pipes and special low-noise pipes, thus it can be classified as semi-low-noise in terms of sound attenuation properties.
