WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) intended for wastewater drainage inside buildings. Pipes and fittings can be grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). Pipes are corrosion-resistant, unaffected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water; however, water at 95° C should not flow for more than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structured wall pipe consists of three layers: outer and inner layers made of PVC, with a foamed layer in between. The pipe meets the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise tests have shown that the new generation thick structured wall WAVIN pipe takes an intermediate position between previously used single-layer (monolithic) pipes and special low-noise pipes; therefore, regarding sound damping properties, it can be classified as a semi-silent pipe.
