WAVIN Optima is a system of thick-walled pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) designed for wastewater drainage inside buildings. Pipes and fittings can be grey (RAL 7037) or white (RAL 9003). The pipes are corrosion-resistant, not affected by chemically contaminated water, and do not accumulate deposits. The system is also resistant to hot water; however, water at 95° C should not flow longer than 1-2 minutes.

The new generation structural wall pipe consists of three layers: outer and inner layers made of PVC and a foamed layer between them. The pipe complies with the European standard LST EN 1453-1, approved by the Lithuanian Department of Standardization under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. Noise tests showed that the new generation WAVIN thick-walled structural pipe occupies an intermediate position between previously used solid single-layer (monolithic) pipes and special low-noise pipes; therefore, in terms of sound insulation properties, it can be classified as a semi-silent pipe.
